TASTE OF NATURE

BEAUTIFUL SCENERY AND CULINARY EXPERIENCE

A TREAT FOR ALL THE SENSES

OFF THE BEATEN TRACK IN ICELAND

Taste of nature is a delicious day tour where we crisscross off the beaten track in West Iceland through quiet country roads. On the way we make frequent stops to enjoy the beautiful scenery and savor local food. West Iceland offers a good variety of stunning landscapes such as energetic waterfalls, rugged lava fields, salmon rivers, mountains and valleys. For this tour we have picked some less known natural jewels along our trail. The highlights of the day are farm visits where we hear about the life of Icelandic farmers and sample delicious artisanal food

To increase our appetite, we visit natural attractions such as waterfalls, ravines and lava fields on our way. The lunch is included and consists of local delicacies.

In our farm visits we get the chance to meet the farmers, hear their story and taste their honest food produce where old traditions meet modern innovation. Among the tasty food from West Iceland you may find excellent lamb meat, goat and cow cheese, traditional skyr, vegetables and strawberries from geothermal greenhouses – just to name a few.

Our farmers are good storytellers who are proud of their heritage. You will hear about the pure Icelandic breeds of goat, sheep and horses, the essence of food and the culinary connection between a plot of land and our plate of food.

A combination of scenic nature and culinary experience, Taste of Nature is a treat for all the senses.
