Sheep farming in Iceland is very seasonal. The lambing season starts in April and May and in the summer Icelandic lambs room freely with their mother sheep in the mountains. Before the winter, farmers jointly collect the sheep back to the lowland and soon after the major shearing season starts. The Icelandic sheep is a unique breed giving us high quality wool. Shearing finds actually place twice a year; in November and again in March. But what happens after that? How are Icelandic "lopapeysa" (wool sweater) and other wool products made?
